Life Happens debuted in 2015 with a patented 100% thermoplastic commercial-grade backing—LifeGuard—that provides a moisture barrier engineered to be highly resistant to liquids soaking into the carpet padding and subfloor. That line was also treated with Shaw’s patented R2X stain and soil resistance protection that keeps most liquid spills on the surface for easy removal. The Anso Living with Lifeguard backing keeps spills from getting through to the padding. And that is exactly where you don’t want messy spills to settle. When you clean a carpet and have stains eventually come back, it’s because they are in the padding.
The earlier Life Happens Collection was focused on high performance through Lifeguard and Anso fiber. That was great, but with a price point that was above the norm, Shaw knew they were missing a segment of the market. So they came back with Anso Living with Lifeguard backing, all targeted at a more affordable price point. So now our customers can shop every style at one price point with the Anso Living with Lifeguard backing system.

The image at the left is Shaw Queen’s Split Second in the color style – Cascade.
